A late 19th century black silk rectangular-shaped embroidered panel depicting three ferocious looking dragons with sinuous and entwined scaled bodies in raised gold and silver metallic thread surrounded by smoky clouds and scrolls.
Elaborate wall hangings like these were commissioned in Japan by the Chinese in the mid/late 19th century to be displayed in a major state room.
