An adorable set of 11 cheese label spikes from Chanteduc, the home of Patricia and Walter Wells in Provence. These vintage porcelain labels are decorated with the coats of arms of each cheese region. These markers are very satisfying to press into your favorite French cheeses and will make a memorable cheese course for guests. Patricia found them at an antique store in Paris.
She explains that over the years she has observed people who love cheese and love wine but they do not always know what they are eating and drinking. And that is one of the reasons she likes to use labels. (She's been quoted to say that if her label maker isn't working, she is very sad!) In her cooking classes, she talks about the wine and cheese they have at each meal. She said that "people don't know enough about what goes into wine / cheese, and it's my job to educate them!"
