4" Anthurium, Zizou

Popular Anthuriums are loved for their marvelous flowers and super strong plants, super easy to care for. Stiff triangle to heart shaped leaves of deep green point out on stiff red/purple/green stems. The flower is the main attraction in Anthuriums, with a modified leaf (the spathe) as what we usually think of as the flower, and the true flower, a small stem sticking up from the base of the spathe (the spadix) is covered in teeny, tiny, true blossoms. The flowers last for weeks and flowering season is all year, making these perfect gifts for all occasions, and always can be found blooming. Zizou is a gorgeous, little hybrid, bred from its big sisters from Central and South America. The no-nonsense, high-gloss, green, pointy leaves are the perfect backdrop for the ethereal cloud of flowers wonderfully tinted in shades of palest, blush pink to lavender to violet with shadowy, green stripes and shadings, making each bloom unique. Rather than the big, happy heart shape of most Anthurium flowers, these are almond/leaf shaped, pointing outwards at something we can't see, with the dusky, amethyst spadix straight up. This little bouquet of flowers is small and bunchy and belongs on a counter or table like a bouquet of flowers. You will love Zizou's nice habit of blooming a real long time!

Quick Care Guide:

• Water - Med/High (4):  Prefers more water than most, but soil can dry out periodically. Use a spray bottle to mist and increase humidity levels without soaking the soil and roots.
• Light - Medium (3):  Plant prefers natural, diffused light. Can be placed in a spacious living room. Indirect light preferred. No direct sunlight on leaves.
• Difficulty - Low/Med (2):  A little less finicky than most. Doesn't require much attention at all.
