Scientific Name: Beaucarnea guatemalensis

This particular type of ponytail palm can have a much larger and more defined bulbous base and a sturdier stem than other types of ponytails.

Best for These Animals: Small-to-moderate, and some larger, sized snakes and lizards.

Bio Dude Substrates: Terra Sahara, some Terra Aranea, some other BioDude substrates in certain circumstances.

Mature Plant Size & Root System: Can eventually reach small-tree sizes, but grows very slowly.  Root system is generally shallow and fibrous, but the bulbous base of the plant can eventually become quite large.
