Dating from the 1950s, this lovely vase has a matte blue glaze with a zig-zag pattern around the top. It is stamped underneath A (for Alain) Maunier, Vallauris. Alain Maunier was the nephew of Jean Clergue, the grandson of Jérôme Massier (a renowned potter from Vallauris). From 1960-1990 he ran his uncle's company "Jérôme Massier Fils". The atelier closed in 1990.
