This early-twentieth century lidded bowl was used for storing 'drageoir' or sugared almonds. Note the stunning detail including raised and glazed decoration and the lid that tapers at the top, crowned with a little dog. It is from the Isere region of France and is a very rare find. Note the dog is missing one of his ears. A lovely piece for a passionate collector of pottery.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
