Anthurium ‘Queen of Hearts’ – Velvet Anthurium

Origin
Derived from Anthurium species native to tropical regions of Central and South America, bred for ornamental foliage.

Light
Prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can damage the delicate velvety leaves. Too little light may result in slower growth and smaller leaves.

Water
Keep the soil lightly moist but not soggy. Allow the top few centimetres of soil to dry slightly between waterings. Reduce watering in winter when growth slows.

Humidity
Thrives in high humidity. Ideal for bathrooms, near a humidifier, or in a cabinet setup. Low humidity can cause leaf edges to crisp and reduce overall leaf quality.

Soil
Use a well-draining, chunky aroid mix. A blend of bark, perlite, and compost helps retain moisture while allowing airflow to the roots.
