This late 19th to early 20th century French confit pot is distinguished by its luminous honey-coloured glaze, which sits above a pale, chalky terracotta body. On one side, a generous glaze run descends from the rim across the unglazed section below, a natural result of the firing process that lends the piece a distinctive character and individuality.
