Antique French milking pot w/ side handle - green

Once used for milking cows dating back to the late nineteenth century, this lovely terracotta "Seille à Lait" is from Provence. It has a charming green-glazed exterior with a creamy off-white interior, a single loop handle and small pouring beak on the side. It comes from 'Julia's kitchen' in Patricia Wells' home in Provence. Patricia named the kitchen where she holds her cooking classes after her dear friend Julia Child. Julia's oven and many framed photographs of them together decorate the charming farmhouse kitchen. Patricia loves to use this delightful piece of French pottery as a wine cooler by filling the inside with ice to keep beverages cool while entertaining.
