A petite French jam pot in wheel-thrown terracotta, finished in a warm yellow ochre glaze with a softly shouldered profile, rolled rim, and concentric throwing lines to the upper body. It is paired with a later custom zinc lid topped by a small ceramic finial.
The ochre glaze, widely favored across southwestern and central regions, offered a practical seal over the porous clay, and the incised rings near the shoulder aided grip in the working kitchen.
Equally at home in a modern farmhouse kitchen or a collected pantry, this jar lends gentle color and authentic texture to open shelving.
