Antique Parisian Tole Café Serving Tray w/ Cartoon Figure - 21¼"

A wonderfully graphic French café waiter’s serving tray dating to the early 20th century, featuring the word “Paris” above a charming cartoon figure of a moustached gentleman holding a pipe. Executed in deep red, black, and cream tones, the tray has developed a richly weathered surface with oxidation, rubbing, and patina that give it tremendous visual character. Slightly warped with age, it was later fitted with two small holes at the top and bottom to allow for wall display, transforming the piece from a practical café service tray into a striking decorative accent.
