A graceful Art Nouveau enameled glass vase dating to circa 1900. The elegant cylindrical form rises from a gently flared foot, the glass shaded from clear crystal to a luminous emerald-green hue. Finely hand-painted yellow and violet irises are rendered with remarkable naturalism, their petals delicately shaded and detailed against a backdrop of slender foliage and gilded botanical tracery. The translucent glass beautifully captures the light, enhancing the depth of the decoration and the richness of the color. Condition is very good, with some rubbing to the finer enameled stems and gilding, minor signs of age consistent with careful use, and no visible chips or cracks. Unsigned.
