Australian Finger Lime Tree 'Russell River' (Citrus inodora)

From the rainforests of Queensland's Russell River region comes one of Australia's most distinctive native citrus varieties. Unlike the common Australian Finger Lime, 'Russell River' belongs to its own species, Citrus inodora. The plant grows with an upright, attractive habit and glossy deep green foliage. Its fruit is a striking bright yellow with a uniquely faceted shape, flat-sided rather than perfectly round, making it instantly recognizable among finger lime varieties. Inside, plump pearl-like juice vesicles deliver a bright, clean lime flavor. Separate them easily and use as a stunning garnish for cocktails, seafood, and fine cuisine. With a strong root system and dense canopy, 'Russell River' is also an excellent candidate for container growing. A rare and rewarding find for the serious citrus collector. This is a grafted plant that will bloom and fruit sooner.
