The AutoPot XXL is a gravity-fed, self-watering system built for large fabric pots. Each module uses an AQUAvalve5 to deliver water and nutrients only when the plant draws them down, so root zones cycle naturally between wet and dry without timers, pumps, or electricity. Systems scale from 1 to 100 pots off a single reservoir, and every tray accepts either 9-gallon or 13-gallon GeoPot G Lite fabric pots.

AQUAvalve5 plant-controlled watering 50% less water
The valve opens when the tray is dry and closes when it fills to about 1 inch of depth. Each pot gets its own valve, so individual plants draw at their own pace without recirculation or waste.
9-gallon and 13-gallon fabric pots
Each XXL tray accepts either a 9-gal or 13-gal GeoPot G Lite fabric pot. Both pot sizes share the same diameter, so they fit the same tray with no adapter needed.
Air-pruning fabric pots for stronger roots
Porous sidewalls stop root circling. Instead of spiraling around the pot edge, roots branch outward and create a denser feeding network than you would get in a solid plastic container of the same size.
Zero electricity, zero pumps
The entire system runs on gravity. Raise the reservoir at least 6 inches above the highest AQUAvalve5, and water pressure does the rest. No power cords, no moving parts to maintain or replace.
Scales from 1 pot to 100 pots
Start with a 1-pot system and add XXL expansion modules whenever you need more capacity. Every module connects to your existing reservoir line with 3/8-inch or 1/2-inch pipe and cross connectors.
Works with mineral or organic nutrients
The AQUAvalve5 has a 66% larger inlet than the previous generation, reducing clogs with thicker nutrient solutions. For organics, AutoPot recommends running a small pump in the reservoir for 15 minutes every 2 hours to keep the solution mixed.
How the system works
Connect the reservoir
Place your FlexiTank or hard tank at least 6 inches above the highest tray. Attach the inline filter to the tank outlet, then run 3/8-inch or 1/2-inch pipe to your tray line.
Set up the trays and pots
Place each XXL tray on a level surface. Drop in the PotSock, then set the 9-gal or 13-gal fabric pot on top. The PotSock keeps roots from reaching the AQUAvalve5.
Plant and hand-water for 7 to 10 days
Pot up your plants and water them by hand from the top for the first week to 10 days. This lets roots establish before the bottom-fed system takes over.
Turn on the system and walk away
Open the inline taps and fill the reservoir with water and nutrients. From here, the AQUAvalve5 handles everything. Refill the tank when it gets to about one-third full.
