Azul Thatch Palm (Coccothrinax macroglossa 'Azul') is a highly coveted, slow-growing Cuban palm famous for its rigid, structural fan leaves that exhibit an intense steely-blue and metallic silver coloration. Unlike standard thatch palms which lean glaucous-green, the 'Azul' cultivar specifically targets collectors who want the striking impact of a Bismarckia nobilis (Bismarck Palm) but scaled down to fit smaller residential landscapes. Distinct Features & Visual Aesthetics, the "Azul" Fronds top sides of the large, circular fan leaves have a waxy, chalky-blue coating.
