Perlite adds aeration and drainage, reducing the risk of root rot. Popular used by itself for hydroponics and semi-hydro or mixed with other substrates to create your own custom blend. A superb propagation substrate (just add fertiliser). Also popular mixed 50/50 with Stratum (aqua-soil), for alocasia corms and hard-to-root cuttings.
Available in two grades from Bio Leaf: Coarse (available here) or Chunky / Super Coarse (that's this size). I also have Egmont Perlite available which is the standard fine to medium perlite size.
PS: Need LOTS of potting mix? Orders over 15 litres total sometimes get too big or heavy for standard shipping rates. If your order goes over into overweight / oversize rates I will be in touch to let you know. I won't incur any costs without your okay - Anna :)
