Bracteatum ‘Cottage Rose’

Bracteantha bracteata 'Cottage Rose', commonly known as Strawflower, is a compact, bushy annual or short-lived perennial renowned for its vibrant, papery blooms in shades of rose. The flowers have a unique, crisp texture, making them excellent for dried arrangements. Cottage Rose features deep green, lance-shaped foliage and blooms prolifically from late spring through fall.

USDA Zones 9–11 (can be grown as an annual in cooler climates).

Native Range:
Bracteantha bracteata is native to Australia, where it thrives in various habitats, including grasslands and open forests. 

Growing Conditions:

• Light: Full sun (at least six to eight hours of direct sunlight per day). 
• Soil: Well-drained, sandy or loamy soil; tolerates poor soils.
• Water: Low to moderate; drought-tolerant once established.
• Temperature: Thrives in warm weather; sensitive to frost.
• Fertilizer: Light feeding with a balanced fertilizer during the growing season.

Care Tips:
