Sprouting Broccoli 'Summer Purple' is specially bred for summer cropping, with good heat tolerance and no need for winter chilling (vernalisation) to produce its tasty purple spears. This robust, British-bred variety produces high yields with regular picking, and crops from July to November if sown at regular intervals.
Companion planting: Try growing broccoli with Nasturtiums to draw cabbage white butterflies away from your crop, and mint to help deter flea beetles.
