Can Planetes Fig

Can Planetes is a new variety introduced by Figs du Monde. It is a Spanish variety that originally comes from the island of Ibiza where it enjoyed a hot and dry climate. Growers call this variety a tough one: resisting heavy rains with its thick skin and having good cold hardiness to keep it through the winter. The figs have quick ripening period of approximately 4-6 days, allowing growers to get to these delicious figs before they are spoiled by weather conditions or pests. Can Planetes trees are highly productive and grow 3- and 5-lobed leaves.

When do we ship cuttings?

Non-Rooted Cuttings(November/December):

We begin to ship cuttings once the trees are dormant and in a shippable state. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March.

**All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October/November) will ship out first in November/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refrigerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine. That is what we do and they've turned into our most impressive trees.

Rooted Cuttings(Spring):

We begin shipping rooted cuttings once they are mature enough to ship. The shipping period typically begins late April and continues into June. Regardless of the date you select during checkout, we will ship when ready during that span. Please do not ask for ETA's or specific arrival dates. You will receive an email when your order ships with UPS Ground tracking details.
