Candy Striped Brake Fern (Pteris aspericaulis var. tricolor)

Also known as Tricolor fern, this unusual tropical fern has shiny fronds that emerge a deep bronze with pink centers and a dark pink center vein. As the fronds age, they turn deep green with white centers. However, at any given time, different colors grace the plant all at once, which truly makes this an unusual plant collector’s prize. Candy Striped Brake Fern makes a wonderful houseplant on a partially sunlit windowsill. Keep moist but not waterlogged.
