A delightful collection of French bright mustard-yellow glazed ceramic small pitchers dating from the 1980s and earlier. Their glaze is smooth and glossy. Stamped beneath by Maison Pichon Uzès. A family business founded in 1802, Maison Pichon Uzès has been creating hand-made artisan pottery for eight generations over three hundred years. It is well celebrated for its craft, innovation, and contribution to the field of ceramic art. These pieces will add instant cheer and French charm to your home whether displayed on a shelf or used in the kitchen.
The collection includes:- 5 pitchers with handles of various shapes and sizes. Note The squattier, lidded pitcher (likely for cream or hot chocolate) is a bit older and exhibits some signs of age where small dots of glaze have pitted to expose the white ceramic beneath. The interior of the triangular beak shows a small fissure in the glaze which occurred during the original firing in the kiln. It is solid.
