Cress, commonly known as garden cress, is a fast-growing edible herb belonging to the Brassicaceae family. Its scientific name is Lepidium sativum. This peppery-flavored plant features delicate, feathery green leaves and thin stems, typically reaching a height of 6 to 12 inches (15–30 cm) when fully mature.
