Crocus chrysanthus 'Queen Bee' offers boldly coloured yellow and burgundy flowers in early spring. The blooms are smaller than the large Dutch hybrids and open earlier, since this species (or "snow") crocus is among the very first bulbs to emerge in late winter, up to two weeks ahead of other forms. Growing 8–10 cm (3–4″) tall, it thrives in full sun to partial shade in well-drained soil, and is a wonderful choice for borders, containers, and rock gardens. It can also be planted in the lawn — just hold off mowing as long as possible afterward so the foliage can build up energy for next year's blooms. 10 bulbs per pack.
