The Mealybug Destroyer beetle that eats the pest at every stage
Mealybugs hide in leaf joints and stem crooks under a waxy coat that shrugs off most sprays. Cryptolaemus montrouzieri, known as the Mealybug Destroyer, is a small beetle whose adults and larvae both feed voraciously on mealybugs, including the eggs buried in those cottony masses. Release it once you can see clusters forming, and it works especially well in enclosed spaces like grow tents and greenhouses.
