De La Gloria Fig

De La Gloria is a fig that lives up to its glorious name. This variety produces two crops annually of green, yellow, and red figs. Expect to start sampling De la Gloria brebas around early August. The medium sized figs weigh about 40 grams and grow on trees with 1-3 lobed leaves. The burgundy colored pulp has a sweet, strawberry jam flavor. You will find the main crop ripening in October and into November. Growers have chosen the late harvesting De La Gloria to keep themselves stocked with figs once other varieties have stopped producing for the season. De La Gloria is also known to have good resistance to rain.

When do we ship cuttings?

Non-Rooted Cuttings(November/December):

We begin to ship cuttings once the trees are dormant and in a shippable state. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March.

**All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October/November) will ship out first in November/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refrigerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine. That is what we do and they've turned into our most impressive trees.

Rooted Cuttings(Spring):

We begin shipping rooted cuttings once they are mature enough to ship. The shipping period typically begins late April and continues into June. Regardless of the date you select during checkout, we will ship when ready during that span. Please do not ask for ETA's or specific arrival dates. You will receive an email when your order ships with UPS Ground tracking details.
