Dragon Fruit Plant ‘Edgar’s Baby’ (Hylocereus hybrid)

The result of years of plant breeding and careful selection, Dragon Fruit ‘Edgar’s Baby’ has a sweet and tangy, reddish inner flesh with tiny, edible, black seeds. The round, red fruit has prominent scales on the outer rind. This red-fleshed variety contains lycopene, a natural antioxidant that’s good for your health. Dragon Fruit foliage looks similar to Orchid Cactus and it needs a trellis for support. Once the vine matures at 4-5’ tall, it begins flowering and fruiting. Fruit ripens four to five weeks after flowering and you can expect successive harvests throughout the summer and fall season.
