Two golden mushroom caps glow at different heights on a pale driftwood trunk beside your reading chair. The tall cap crowns the top of the trunk, spreading wide overhead with warm amber gill rays fanning across the ceiling and the wall behind. A second, smaller cap grows from a branch stub halfway up the trunk, angled outward, its own gill glow casting a warmer, closer pool of light across the armrest, your book, and the side table with your coffee. Driftwood Trunk with Natural Branch
The trunk is a single piece of naturally aged driftwood with a real branch stub growing from one side. The branch is not attached later. It is part of the original tree, left intact where it forked from the main stem. The driftwood surface is stripped of bark by years of sun, wind, and rain, revealing pale grey-silver heartwood with natural cracks, knot holes, and smooth worn patches. The trunk stands upright with a slight natural lean that gives the lamp a living, growing posture. Each trunk is hand-selected for its branch position, height, and structural balance.
Two Gill Glow Caps at Different Heights
The upper cap sits at the top of the trunk, spreading wide in a classic parasol dome. The lower cap sits on the branch stub at roughly two-thirds height, angled outward and slightly tilted. Both caps are carved from solid wood, polished to a warm golden amber satin, with flowing cathedral grain and natural knots visible on the top surface. Underneath each cap, hundreds of tight gill lines are carved by hand from the center outward to the rim. Built-in LED strips in both caps project warm 2700K light through the carved channels.
The upper cap lights the room from above, casting wide ambient rays across the ceiling and walls. The lower cap provides focused, closer light for reading, working, or conversation. Both caps are dimmable independently, so you can run the upper cap at full brightness with the lower cap off, run both at half for a warm evening glow, or turn only the lower cap on for a soft reading light.
Natural Driftwood Slab Base
The base is a thick, irregular slab of natural driftwood with weathered edges and a flat-cut bottom. The raw, organic shape of the slab extends beyond the trunk on all sides, providing stable weight and a wide footprint. The surface is left in its natural state with grain lines, knot eyes, and small cracks visible. A felt pad protects the floor underneath.
