These beautifully crafted shears are made of high quality hardened Yasuki Hagane Japanese steel (White Paper Steel).
The shears are both robust & versatile and have a unique hollow indentation along each blade, which allows the hollow to collect sap and other debris keeping the cutting blade clean and sharp for longer.
Designed to cut green raw branches and stem of up to 10mm in diameter if positioned in the base of the shears. Like all gardening tools we recommend blades are cleaned with a solvent (such as Yanipika) and wiped with a lubricant such as Camellia oil before putting away.
The Yoshioka family has been in the business of producing high quality tools since 1946 when the founder Mr Kihachi Yoshioka was a manufacturer of dressmaking scissors. Today the company is now a third generation business operated by Takashi Yoshioka crafting hedge shears and garden scissors.
