How to Use Espoma Organic Garden Gypsum

When to Apply:
Apply anytime during the growing season. Do not apply fertilizers or amendments to frozen soil.

Garden Beds:
Apply 6 lbs per 30 square feet and work into the top 6 inches of soil.

Lawns:
Apply 36 lbs per 1,000 square feet using a drop or broadcast spreader. For exceptionally heavy clay soils, follow label directions for higher application rates.

Shrubs:
Apply 3 lbs, or approximately 5 1/4 cups, per plant.

Flowers:
Apply 1 lb, or approximately 1 3/4 cups, per plant.

After Application:
Water thoroughly to help the pellets begin dissolving and moving into the soil.
