Exceptional 19th-century French artisan wicker basket 16¼" x 13"

An exceptional French artisan wicker basket dating from the nineteenth century. Note the lovely shape round woven medallion details wrapping around the upper border. There are two pretty loop handles on either side. A fabulous fruit basket or decorative piece for your kitchen or for use as a linen napkin or towel basket for rolled hand towels in a bathroom. Maintains a solid construction despite some loose pieces consistent with age and use.
