F.ACE Wall Hook Aluminium by Henry Wilson
The F.ACE Hook is a riff on our popular Compass Hook. Sand-cast in solid brass, it was designed especially for the Ace Hotel in Sydney.
The casting process involves liquefying metal and pouring it into a sand mould. Because manufacturing occurs in small batches, slight variations will be visible from one hook to another. These production marks may include slight pour ripples or surface pitting.
The original finish will oxidise and darken over time to reveal a distinctive patina. If preferred, use a quality metal polish to restore brightness.
Henry Wilson is designer living and working in Sydney. He studied at the Australian National University School of Art in Canberra, graduating with first class honours in visual arts, specialising in woodwork. During his time at ANU he went on exchange to Rhode Island School of Design. He then moved to Europe to do his Masters at the Design Academy Eindhoven before returning to Sydney to set up his own studio in 2012.
