Green Goblin Fig

Green Goblin is a previously unknown fig that was discovered in San Diego, California. It is a common variety, not requiring wasp pollination to produce delicious red fruit. Green Goblin has the typical appearance of an Adriatic fig with bright green skin and vibrant red pulp. The figs grow to large size and have a long pear shape with a neck. Growers love Green Goblin because they are sweet and early ripening, with the main crop ripening in mid August (depending on growing conditions). The flavor and qualities of Green Goblin have been compared to the popular White Madeira #1. The trees are vigorous growers and productive. Green Goblin has good resistance to pests with a closed eye, and are unlikely to split in rains and humidity. Green Goblin trees grow 5-lobed leaves with gently wavy margins.

When do we ship cuttings?

Non-Rooted Cuttings(November/December):

We begin to ship cuttings once the trees are dormant and in a shippable state. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March.

**All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October/November) will ship out first in November/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refrigerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine. That is what we do and they've turned into our most impressive trees.

Rooted Cuttings(Spring):

We begin shipping rooted cuttings once they are mature enough to ship. The shipping period typically begins late April and continues into June. Regardless of the date you select during checkout, we will ship when ready during that span. Please do not ask for ETA's or specific arrival dates. You will receive an email when your order ships with UPS Ground tracking details.
