Grow your own Tree Pincushion with this easy seed kit. This species belongs to the group known as the Tree Pincushions, admired for their striking flowers and bold presence in the garden.
The plant grows into a large rounded shrub or small tree, reaching 3–5 metres in height and up to 6 metres across. Its bright yellow pincushion flowers create a spectacular display from August to December, adding vibrant colour to fynbos gardens.
Naturally found growing in granite and sandstone soils on dry, rocky slopes, this hardy species is well adapted to South African conditions. The flowers are also highly valued as long-lasting cut flowers, and the nectar-rich blooms help attract birds to the garden.
