The set comes with instructions, but if you'd rather dive straight in, here's how to get started.

1. Place the germination tray inside the growing basin and make sure it's sitting securely.
2. Soak your rockwool cubes in water until they're fully saturated, which gives your seeds the moisture they need to sprout.
3. Pop each soaked cube into a slot in the tray, add 2 to 5 seeds per cube depending on what you're growing, then cover everything with the humidity dome.
4. Keep the dome on until your seeds have sprouted and grown their first true leaves, usually within 1 to 2 weeks. Once the seedlings are established, take the dome off so air can circulate and growth strengthens.
5. You can add nutrients from the start at the ratios on your nutrient bottle for a growth boost, though this can encourage algae. A safer approach is to wait until roots show at the bottom of the cubes before adding nutrients.
6. Once your seedlings have strong roots, they're ready to move into your hydroponic system or a soil garden. Gently push them up from below the tray, or ease them out by the stem.
