Grodan Improved Stone Wool Delta Starter Mini-Blocks are the perfect solution for gardeners looking for a superior alternative to traditional starter cubes. The Grodan Delta design forms the foundation for uniform and perfectly controllable propagation of plants, a prerequisite for powerful and vigorous plant growth. The variation in small and large pores throughout each block ensures that plant roots are always supplied with an optimal balance of air and water. Moreover, the water content of each block can be controlled with precision, and the efficient pattern of the pores ensures uniform distribution of water and nutrients throughout the block. Grodan Mini-Blocks are designed to sit in a tray (flat) without support, making it easy to start seeds and cuttings. Each block is individually wrapped in white plastic to minimize algae growth. You can remove the wrapping and transplant into any loose media, such as Growcubes or coconut fiber, or leave the wrapping on and set on top of a larger Gro-block. Each case comes with 60 strip sets, each strip set containing 2 strips of 12 blocks (24 blocks), for a total of 1440 individual blocks.
