A low maintenance perennial boasting huge 8" bright pink flowers with a dark eye over upright, columnar dark (almost black) foliage. Grows best in full sun and moist well-drained soil. Cut back in spring before growth appears.
Hardy hibiscus are a zone 5, hardy to -20 degrees Fahrenheit! Keep in mind that plants die all the way to the ground in the winter and do not leaf out until much later in the season than other plants, sometimes as late as July! They love lots of water once they start growing and a very hot and sunny place. They can grow to be up to 6' tall! Just be patient with them in the spring while they're hitting the snooze button!
