The Hart’s Tongue Fern ‘Crispum’ is often sought after for its deep green frilly foliage. Giving it a unique and contrasting appearance, compared to many other “Birds Nest” Fern varieties. Their broad green leaves tend to stand upright, exaggerating this lovely fern among other houseplants.

This fern not only looks lovely, but is also relatively hardy. Thus, it makes a great choice for novice and experienced plant lovers alike. Their low maintenance nature can be attributed to their thick and strappy foliage. The Aspelenium naturally grows in the dense undergrowth of the canopy, needing dappled light and good humidity. This makes them ideal for an east-facing bathroom, which will provide ample light and warmth.

Hart's Tongue Ferns are relatively slow-growing, so they won't overcrowd a constricted space too soon, although after they mature they will grow quite large, creating a dramatic statement with their intriguing foliage and crown-like growing habit.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Follow these care instructions to keep your Birds Nest fern happy and healthy.

Water: Check regularly and water once the top 1cm-2cm of soil has dried. Avoid allowing it to dry out completely.
Light: Medium to bright indirect light is ideal. Avoid too low light.
Humidity: High humidity, such as bathrooms, however, can be placed on a pebble tray.
Fertilize Balanced Liquid Fertilizer once a month during Spring and Summer. No need to feed in Winter.
