An original Herbert Terry No. 1209 Anglepoise desk lamp, manufactured in England by Herbert Terry & Sons Ltd., Redditch, circa 1955–1965.
Designed by George Carwardine, the Anglepoise is one of the most recognisable lighting designs of the twentieth century, celebrated for its ingenious spring-balanced mechanism and enduring industrial aesthetic. This authentic No. 1209 model retains its iconic articulated four-spring arm, heavy cast weighted base and satin aluminium shade, offering both exceptional functionality and timeless design.
