A cruising nematode that hunts grubs and root weevils deep in the soil
Grubs and beetle larvae do their damage below the surface, chewing roots where you cannot see or spray them. Heterorhabditis bacteriophora are cruising nematodes that actively move through the soil to find these deeper pests, making them highly effective against white grubs, beetle larvae, and root weevils. They kill each host within 48 to 72 hours and need soil temperatures above 60 degrees Fahrenheit to stay active.

After entering a host, the nematode releases symbiotic bacteria that kill the pest within two to three days, then reproduces inside the carcass.

Bacteriophora stays active in soil above roughly 60 degrees Fahrenheit, so it is best applied in the warmer part of the season or in a heated indoor root zone.

New nematodes emerge from spent pests to seek fresh prey, so a single drench keeps suppressing as long as hosts remain.
