Hosta Emerald Ruff Cut displays wavy dark green leaves with light green streaks and a gold center. Makes a stunning compact clump. It is one from the most beautiful hostas. In the spring, bright greenish-golden yellow to yellow-green leaves have darker, very irregular edges. Becoming corrugated and quite narrower leaves are strongly curled on the edges. Hosta 'Emerald Ruff Cut' requires a bit more light. In the shadow creates a sparse clump. Light lavender flowers. Hosta 'Emerald Ruff Cut' comes from hosta 'Sea Angel Wing's. Excellent perennial! This plant comes in a gallon size pot.
Hostas grow best in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils. A good partner for ferns. Although the flowers are attractive, Hostas, also called Plantain Lilies, are usually grown for their ornamental foliage.
