Japanese Holly Ferns are popular with many indoor plant collectors as they make for beautiful accent plants with their deep green and shiny leaves that in their simplicity, are akin to Holly foliage.

These adorable ferns are ideal for small spaces as they are low compact growers that thrive as container plants in humid conditions. Making them excellent bathroom and kitchen dwellers. 

This variety of fern is well known to be hardier than most varieties of fern and can thrive from deep shade through to bright indirect light, however, they do best in medium to bright filtered light. Japanese Holly Ferns are also known to withstand drier air making them ideal houseplants and will also happily live in your office or main living areas, adding an extra dimension to a dull corner as long as they are kept moist to the touch.

Pair this beauty with an austere planter to allow its foliage to be the plants focal point and use the perfect coffee table centerpiece or place on a beautifully curated shelf for a pop of earthy colour.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Follow these instructions to keep your Japanese Holly Fern happy and healthy.

Water: Keep evenly moist during spring to summer and allow the soil to reach dryness in cooler weather. 
Light: Medium to Bright Indirect Light.
Humidity: Medium to high humidity is recommended. Place in a warm moist location such as a bathroom or kitchen and spritz daily.
Fertilize: For optimal growth, fertilize every 2 - 3 weeks during the growing phase with an organic fertilizer formulated for ferns or a ¼ strength of a well balanced general-purpose organic fertilizer.
