Also known as Japanese Garden Juniper or Dwarf Japgarden Juniper, Juniperus Procumbens 'Nana' is a dwarf, nocturnal conifer. It's an evergreen shrub that is highly resistant to cold and heat, and withstands sea breezes and snowfall as well.
The tree height of Nana is about 4" and its branches could extend radially to 5'. Its leaves are needle-like, short and thick, and they turn to purple in cold winter!
Due to its toughness and ground-hugging habit of growth, Nana is mostly used for landscaping (such as a ground cover and garden trees) in Japan.
