KATANABOY Folding Saw - 550mm

The KatanaBoy Folding Saw is designed to prune large branches. This beefy, two-handed folding saw from Silky is currently the biggest in its class. It is literally like a man-powered chain saw!

The KatanaBoy has a taper ground blade, which reduces friction when cutting because the blade tapers in thickness making the teeth the thickest part of the blade. This allows the cutting stroke to feel very easy and fast.

The teeth are not set and they graduate in size from front to end of the blade. This style of tooth also makes a larger cut than the thickness of the blade, reducing the chance of the blade jamming in the cut.

The blades are made from a special, very strong steel developed by Silky Saws that is also quite flexible, thanks to the metal’s soft core, meaning the saw stays flexible and grabs the wood with ease. While the high carbon content leads to a high wear resistance so that the sharpness remains for a very long time.

The Katanaboy rubberized handle offers an ergonomic, comfortable grip making them sturdier, more stable when cutting, and more durable. And when it's time to pack away, the blade simply folds in half, with theblades seat snugly handles. A clever feature which ties into Silky’s signature highly engineered design and attention to detail.
