This is a 5 year old plant with a solid stem and head. perfect for the entrance of a building. With dark green leaves, this evergreen bay laurel standard makes an elegant centrepiece for a formal vegetable garden or planted in a smart contemporary pot either side of a doorway. Clippings of the aromatic leaves are great, fresh or dried, for flavouring savoury stocks and sauces.
