Lavandula stoechas, or "French Lavender", looks silvery, covered in very fine, soft hairs. Lavender-blue spike blooms are showy and beautifully scented! Will bloom almost all season with enough light and warmth. A real butterfly attraction. Plant along walkways, use as a low hedge or as a rock garden addition. Use flowers and foliage in arrangements, potpourri, sachets, cooking and beauty treatments. Preserve by air-drying, cut before blooms open fully and hang upside down in a cool, airy palce.
