LSU Champagne is a beloved fig, especially in the south where it displays fast vertical growth and prolific fruiting. This fig holds up well to humidity and rains, and has a closed eye. Even those in colder climates have reaped the spoils of this tasty variety, though. LSU Champagne plants will bear 5 lobed leaves and put out 2 main crops per year. That will keep you in plenty of figs! They are smaller, honey-flavored figs named for their beautiful champagne colored skin. Inside, you will find amber flesh with hints of pink near the center. Look for the brown sugar spots on the skin that indicate LSU Champagne’s optimal ripeness!

When do we ship rooted cuttings?
We begin shipping rooted cuttings once they are mature enough to ship. The shipping period typically begins late April and continues into June. Regardless of the date you select during checkout, we will ship when ready during that span. Please do not ask for ETA's or specific arrival dates.
