These fascinating cacti are formed due to damage to young growing tissue that results in the wild, twisted growth resembling a brain, giving it the name 'Brain Cactus. Slow growing, it will reach 10-15cm across in 5 to 10 years, so can be kept in a small pot for a long time. '. Loves a bright sunny position indoors, or a covered position outdoors. Allow to dry completely between waterings. A must have for any houseplant collection.
