The Owari Satsuma is a compact, slow-growing, cold-hardy, and seedless mandarin variety that ripens between October and December in Southern California. The fruit is bright orange, tender, juicy, and seedless with a balanced sweet and acidic flavor. It has a thin, easy-to-peel rind. The fruit should be harvested promptly after ripening as it doesn't hold well on the tree, but it stores well after picking. The tree has a slightly drooping shape and fragrant white flowers.
