Mary Lane Seedless Fig

Mary Lane Seedless figs are round and covered with yellow skin. This variety grows to medium size. The skin often has brown sugar spots near the eye. The amber pulp has a light honey and agave flavor. Mary Lane trees are fast growing, and tend to grow upright rather than bushy. They are recommended for growers looking to conserve space in their gardens. The trees grow mostly 5-lobed leaves with wavy margins. Mary Lane trees produce two crops annually that ripen in the mid to late season. While the variety originally comes from California, growers in the cooler climate of the Pacific Northwestern US have also had success in ripening Mary Lane before season's end. Mary Lane has proven to be a highly adaptable fig in many climates and does not require wasp pollination.

When do we ship cuttings?

Non-Rooted Cuttings(November/December):

We begin to ship cuttings once the trees are dormant and in a shippable state. Exact timing is weather dependent, but we usually start in November. Shipping continues throughout the winter and early spring. We stop shipping when the trees begin to break dormancy, normally around mid-March.

**All non-rooted cuttings ship between November and March regardless of the date selected during checkout. Orders placed during our pre-sale period(October/November) will ship out first in November/December. If you are rooting your cuttings in the spring, our cuttings can be kept in the refrigerator until you are ready to root them. They will be perfectly fine. That is what we do and they've turned into our most impressive trees.

Rooted Cuttings(Spring):

We begin shipping rooted cuttings once they are mature enough to ship. The shipping period typically begins late April and continues into June. Regardless of the date you select during checkout, we will ship when ready during that span. Please do not ask for ETA's or specific arrival dates. You will receive an email when your order ships with UPS Ground tracking details.
