Miscanthus sinensis 'Morning Light', otherwise known as "Japanese Silver Grass", is a very graceful ornamental grass. Slender green leaves edged with narrow bands of white blend beautifully with pastel colors in the garden. Retain an interesting form over winter.
- Blooms: September - October
- Light: full sun
- Soil: well drained, regular garden soil
- Spacing: 3 - 4'
- Height at maturity: 4 - 6'
- Pruning: cut back in early spring before new growth appears
- Divide: in spring every 3 or 4 years to encourage upright form
- Zones: 5 - 9
